The Race Up is an ultra-light, performance-oriented harness designed around the essentials. Its slim silhouette, aerodynamic fairing, and dedicated aero jacket create a clean flight profile while maintaining a compact and lightweight design.

With an integrated rescue container and minimal bulk, the Race Up feels almost unnoticeable in flight, giving the pilot freedom of movement and a focused flying experience.

AERODYNAMIC DESIGN

NEO focuses on two key aerodynamic elements:

1. NEO Koroyd Protection (8 cm)
The 8 cm Koroyd protector allows the harness to remain slim while reducing the aerodynamic cross-section, improving airflow and aerodynamic efficiency.

2. Extended Aerodynamic Fairing
The fairing starts above the pilot’s head and extends far enough to ensure smooth airflow and reduce turbulence. Its length allows it to function as a true aerodynamic component, beyond a simple marketing argument.


BASE: FIT AND PRECISION

The 3D NEO seat design has built its reputation through earlier models such as the Suspender and Stay Up harnesses. It is known for exceptional comfort and precise piloting feedback thanks to its ergonomic 3D structure.

The Race Up continues this tradition with further refinements that allow pilots to quickly find their ideal seating position. Adjustments are simple and intuitive.

A lightweight fiberglass frame provides the rigidity needed for precise control while maintaining long-term comfort and resistance to wear.

The Ripstop Dyneema® NEO fabric prevents deformation of the seat and helps maintain consistent piloting precision over time.

GEOMETRY AND FLIGHT STABILITY

Classic ABS Design

Harness geometry plays a fundamental role in flight performance. The Race Up uses a classic ABS (Anti-Balance System) configuration, ideal for high-aspect-ratio wings.

Benefits include:

  • Stable behavior during accelerated flight
  • Reduced wingtip flapping in thermals

The roll axis can be fine-tuned using the chest strap adjustment.


SIMPLE CLOSING SYSTEM

One Single Action

Once the two leg strap buckles are secured, closing the cocoon requires only a single action using an ultra-light carabiner.

This connection is protected by a certified anti-forget carabiner, which also activates the STAND UP RESCUE system.

The cocoon itself closes easily with a magnetic zipper.

Despite its lightweight design, the Race Up offers generous storage space:

STAND-UP RESCUE SYSTEM

PARACHUTE OPENING AND DOWNPLANE
Without pilot intervention during the opening of the reserve parachute, the probabilities of a downplane are high, and the paraglider will place itself opposite to the parachute.

THE PROBLEM: LANDING ON YOUR BACK
If the pilot throws reserve at low altitude and doesn’t have enough time, or if they’re unable to disable the glider (due to twists, for example), a downplane will occur.
The distance between the shoulders and the main attachment point creates a lever effect, placing the pilot horizontally on their back. The pilot follows the fall, not being able to react, with an inevitable impact on the back

THE SOLUTION: THE STAND UP SYSTEM
The STAND-UP system by NEO helps avoiding this stretched position, regardless the flying configuration.
The attachment points are now located at the glider’s attachment point.

“STAND-UP” MEANS: THE PILOT SITTING UP AUTOMATICALLY
This patented system allows the pilot to straighten up and land sitting or standing, as they wish. It is then up to the pilot to choose their position for returning to the ground. Sitting as if on a chair, the action required to move to a fully standing position is extremely simple.

  • Accelerated comfort is paramount and has been particularly worked on in 3D, distributing the effort for greater comfort.
  • Allen Brothers Auto-Ratchet Pulleys sheave 30, Auto-Ratchet pulleys reduce pressure and provide precision acceleration.
  • 3 mm speed bar lines. Abrasion-resistant sheathing, low elongation, eco-friendly BLUE SIGN ® product, removable brummelhooks.

DYNEEMA® FABRIC

NEO has developed a Ripstop fabric with Dyneema® yarn, based on high-tenacity polyamide, coated with polyurethane. This highly technical fabric combines all the characteristics required for lightweight products for paragliding and outdoor sports: 

  • Highly tear resistant 
  • Highly abrasion resistant
  • Little elongation
  • No deformation
  • Dirt repellentand washable (30 °C max.)
  • Very light   
  • Best compromise durability/weight 

TRIPLE RIPSTOP

Special Fabric for Long-Lasting Performance

Always mindful of the durability of these products, which are particularly lightweight and now equipped with high-performance inflatable fairnig, NEO has chosen to commit to this field by offering maximum durability guarantees, even in the event of incidents.

To this end, a high-tenacity Polyamide 6.6 fabric has been specifically developed: it is ultra- lightweight and airtight, enabling the inflatable structures to deliver the performance required by ambitious paragliders. This coated and so called calendered fabric has a perfect surface finish.

Finally, it is particularly tear-resistant thanks to its triple Ripstop weave.


BOOOMTAG®

The Race Up is equipped with a Booomtag chip. This is an NFC chip (near field communication system for smartphones) that contains information about the product and allows you to register ownership of the product.
