Product Details

MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE. PURE PRECISION.

The TAU DLS combines uncompromising performance with exceptionally precise handling and outstanding efficiency. It was developed with one clear goal: to fully exploit the performance potential of the EN C two-liner class while delivering a direct and sporty flying experience.

  • High-end EN C two-liner with maximum performance across the entire speed range
  • New benchmark in precision and steering directness within its class
  • Six perfectly graded sizes with seamless weight ranges
  • DLS construction with elastic Nitinol wires and Dominico D10 lower sail for reduced weight and pack volume
  • Competition-ready sports-class wing for SRS competitions

AEROFOIL ENGINEERING PERFECTION

The TAU DLS is built on complex numerical analysis and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations. Key profile parameters were optimized across the full angle-of-attack range.

The finely tuned aerofoil delivers very balanced pitch behaviour, forming the foundation for maximum performance throughout the entire polar curve and enabling fatigue-free cross-country flying.

MAXIMUM PROFILE CONSISTENCY

When canopy shape and tension harmonize perfectly, the result is more than a clean surface. The advanced 3x3D shaping, precisely controlled tension curves, and meticulous ADVANCE workmanship create an exceptionally wrinkle-free wing.

This high level of profile consistency across the entire speed range is the key to outstanding aerodynamic efficiency.

PRECISION IN EVERY TURN

The TAU DLS sets new standards in steering precision and directness. A newly developed aerodynamic twist, combined with an optimized pressure point distribution along the span, ensures balanced feedback across all angles of attack.

The steering feel is sharp, sporty, and highly responsive, allowing precise banking control to stay perfectly centered in the thermal core.

A SMART MIXTURE OF FABRICS

Highly stressed areas such as the leading edge, upper surface, and key profile sections use a durable, low-stretch fabric combination. The lower surface features lightweight Dominico Dokdo D10, reducing overall weight and pack volume. Super-elastic Nitinol wires provide high kink resistance while further minimizing packing size.

EFFICIENT PITCH-CONTROL SYSTEM

The TAU DLS features modern, cleanly designed risers. Pitch control via the B-risers remains highly efficient even when fully accelerated and can be precisely adjusted at any time. The newly developed B-handles integrate perfectly with the riser system for enhanced control and ergonomics.

STATE-OF-THE-ART EDELRID PRO DRY LINES

The TAU DLS is equipped with colour-differentiated EDELRID Pro Dry lines. These lines offer exceptional length stability and above-average ultimate strength, even after extensive use. They also provide 60% higher water repellency compared to previous-generation line sets.

SEAMLESS WEIGHT RANGES

The Seamless Weight Ranges of the TAU DLS make a clear transition from one wing size to the next, so that any pilot suits only one ideal takeoff weight range. In this way, the TAU DLS guarantees the optimum balance of useful airspeed and climb performance in all flying conditions.

PILOT REQUIREMENTS

As a high-performance EN C two-liner, the TAU DLS is designed exclusively for very experienced and performance-oriented cross-country and competition pilots.

Required profile:

  • Several years of flying experience
  • Regular practice with at least 100 flying hours per year
  • Extensive experience on at least one sport-class glider

The TAU DLS is not suitable as a transition wing into the C class. High-C gliders react dynamically to turbulence and pilot input, requiring active flying, precise control technique, and solid SIV experience.

Only with the appropriate skill level can the full performance potential of the TAU DLS be safely realized.
